Womens Artistic Gymnastics (WA)

This is competitive gymnastics for girls involving work on Vault, Bars, Beam & Floor along with physical preparation. Girls who enter this side of the sport compete at the appropriate level. Competitions take place at Club, County, Regional and National level for both Elite and Non-elite gymnasts. Non-elite gymnasts follow the Club Grades path, Elite gymnasts follow the Compulsory Levels path, on passing the Compulsory Level they are eligible to compete in the British Championships and may be selected for International competitions. This path requires a higher level of commitment with gymnasts expected to train over 20hours a week as well as a greater degree of physical and mental pre-requisites.
