Success in Malta for East Midlands Gymnasts

10 gymnasts from the newly formed Notts Gymnastics Academy travelled to the annual Gymstars Invitational competition in Tarxien, Malta over the weekend of 16/17 July 2011. Saturday saw the younger gymnasts compete in the Category D competition, a steady performance without significant mistakes saw them win the Team Bronze medal, there was also an Overall Bronze for the youngest member of the delegation Brooke Jennings and an Individual Gold on Floor for Carrie Brown. Sunday saw Millie Fairhurst-Marshall pick up an individual Bronze on Floor in the Category C competition.

Well done to all the gymnasts in their first competition abroad.
